Rodney Brennen, COO, Metco Industries, Inc., St. Marys, Pennsylvania, has been elected the 31^st president of the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), succeeding Dean Howard, PMT, North American Höganäs Co., a subsidiary of Höganäs AB, Hollsopple, Pennsylvania. His two-year term began at the conclusion of the Federation’s annual PM Management Summit and 77^th Annual MPIF Business Meeting, October 23–25, 2021, in Nashville, Tennessee.

America Makes, Youngstown, Ohio, announced a new Directed Project Call worth $1M in total funding from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Manufacturing and Industrial Base Technology Division to advance domestic ability to use additive manufacturing for the creation of components for aerospace and defense high Mach applications.
