MPIF Technical Board Meets to Review Las Vegas Papers

The MPIF Tech Board met recently to review and select the Outstanding Technical Paper Awards from PowderMet2023 and AMPM2023 conferences that were held in Las Vegas. The final review is part of a thorough vetting process that includes review by the session chair, assigned reviewers, and Tech Board members.

The Howard I. Sanderow Outstanding Technical Paper Award was established in 1993 to recognize authors of manuscripts for excellence in scientific and technical written communications from those papers presented and submitted for publication from MPIF's annual PowderMet conference. In 2009, the award was renamed in honor of Howard I. Sanderow, FAPMI.

The Metal AM Outstanding Technical Paper Award was established in 2018 to enhance and promote the science and technology which is fundamental to additively manufactured powder metallurgy products, processes, and materials.

The recipients of both awards will be announced in the near future, once the authors have been contacted. Additionally, the recipients will be recognized at next year's PowderMet2024 and AMPM2024 conferences, June 16-19, 2024, in Pittsburgh.
