The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) provides a complimentary Security Assessment tailored for manufacturers, aimed at swiftly evaluating a facility’s current security posture and identifying strategies for facility owners and operators to mitigate potential threats.

Over 96% of all manufactured goods rely on chemicals in some capacity. These chemicals are utilized, produced, stored, and transported throughout global supply chains, forming the foundation of industries that impact nearly every facet of American life—from microchips to food processing. In the wrong hands, many everyday chemicals could be repurposed as weapons. Regardless of whether you are part of a small business or a multinational corporation, everyone involved with these chemicals plays a vital role in understanding the associated risks and taking collective action to prevent their weaponization by terrorists. CISA’s ChemLock program is a voluntary initiative that offers facilities handling hazardous chemicals complimentary services and tools to enhance their understanding of the risks they face and to bolster their chemical security posture in a manner that aligns with their business models.
